Talat to Nabi, out Caught by Gohar!! A wicket to finish off the innings. There was a check for a possible no-ball but Talat is just fine. A high full toss which is below the waist, Nabi clears his front leg and heaves it to deep mid-wicket. The connection was from top half of the bat and hence could not get the distance to clear the fielder. Good catch from Gohar as he settled himself just before the boundary rope. Nabi c Gohar b Talat 7(5) [6s-1]

Talat to Nabi, SIX, that's more like it. Very similar to the previous delivery but Nabi waited on it this time, just delayed the bat swing and got the cleanest of connections, sails over the long-on fence for half a dozen

Talat to Christian, FOUR, now finds the boundary. Another off-pace delivery that is short in length, Christian waits on the back foot and pulls it in front of square, right between the two fielders on the boundary rope

Hasan Ali to Christian, FOUR, Christian gets going with a fine shot. This was a low full toss outside off, he had to bend down to get under it and then opens the bat face to slice the drive through backward point. No chance for the sweeper

Hasan Ali to Sharjeel Khan, out Lbw!! Two in two for Islamabad. Alas, there is still hope for them to revive this innings. Both set batsmen depart with 10 balls to spare. This was a Hasan Ali special. He goes round the wicket and nails a pin-point yorker, Sharjeel is beaten by pace as he does not bring his bat down in time, struck on the back foot right in front of the stumps. The onfield umpire thought it was going down but an excellent review from Shadab showed that the ball was crashing into leg-stump. So an innings that took time to take off and had its luck finally comes to an end. Sharjeel Khan lbw b Hasan Ali 105(59) [4s-9 6s-8]

Hasan Ali to Babar Azam, out Babar Azam Run Out!! Oh my! Hales is saved embarrassment by some casual running. It was another low full toss that Azam cannot get hold of, he swings it hard without any timing to long-on. Hales makes a mess of a dolly by putting it down but makes up by running out Azam who thought the catch would be taken and didn't bother to get to the other end. He was caught miles short of the crease. Babar Azam run out (Hales/Hasan Ali) 62(54) [4s-6 6s-1]

Faheem Ashraf to Sharjeel Khan, SIX, hundred for Sharjeel. He's elated as he takes off his helmet and celebrates with a double-handed fist pump. Second ton in the PSL for the left hander. But this innings will be known for the way he has turned it around. He was 7 off 18 and has scored the other 94 runs in 37 balls. Reaches the landmark in style as well. He gets a length delivery in his arc and that's smoked nonchalantly straight back over Faheem

Hasan Ali to Sharjeel Khan, FOUR, he's into the 90s now. Another outside edge that goes fine and nowhere close to short third man. Hasan Ali went round the wicket but bowled the slower delivery right in the swinging arc, Sharjeel goes hard and the edge flies away
15.3
6
Hasan Ali to Sharjeel Khan, SIX, Islamabad just don't know where to bowl to Sharjeel at the moment. Anything is disappearing and anything short is disappearing further. Short of length around off, Sharjeel swivels and pulls it handsomely into the night sky, clearing deep mid-wicket with ease
15.2
4
Hasan Ali to Sharjeel Khan, FOUR, almost took Aleem Dar out. Full and in the slot, Sharjeel does not hold back, blasts it straight back and leaves Dar ducking for cover. The ball raced away to the fence

4
Talat to Sharjeel Khan, FOUR, Islamabad just can't catch a break. Every mishit is going in the gap and every wicket is a no-ball. Fuller, slower and outside off, Sharjeel throws the kitchen sink and the outside edge flies away fine to third man
12.5
F
Iftikhar Ahmed to Babar Azam, SIX, fifty for Azam. A typical Azam innings. He started off quickly in the powerplay as his partner struggled but now has taken a backseat to bat through. This was fuller and Azam went down on his knees, slog swept it over deep square leg for half a dozen
12
4
Gohar to Sharjeel Khan, FOUR, that drop is already proving costly. This was a dragged back, add width to that and it was a freebie to a well-set Sharjeel, he transfers his weight back and slaps it over extra cover
11.3
6
Gohar to Sharjeel Khan, SIX, dropped! Hales has put down a sitter. Sharjeel charges down and is made to reach out for the big shot, hence not height or distance on the shot. The Englishman runs around from long-off and allows it to burst through, the ball drops beyond the boundary rope to make it worse
11.2
4
Gohar to Sharjeel Khan, FOUR, Sharjeel continues to deal in boundaries.. He predicted what Gohar was trying and outsmarted him. Flatter, quicker and outside off, Sharjeel walks across and slaps it straight back over, one bounce and over the ropes

F
Gregory to Sharjeel Khan, FOUR, fifty for Sharjeel. This is now officially the PSL version of Rahul Tewatia. What a turnaround by the southpaw. He was on 7 off 18 at one stage and has scored a fifty in 32 balls. Slower delivery angled across the left hander and Sharjeel smartly guides it behind square - between backward point and short third man. He raises his bat and acknowledges the applause
10.1
4
Gregory to Babar Azam, FOUR, starts with a slower delivery and is sent to the fence. Off-cutter which is fraction short in length, Azam is quick to pounce on that and cuts it past backward point. No chance for the sweeper
9
6
Shadab Khan to Sharjeel Khan, SIX, for in a row and he has comfortably outscored Azam in a matter of four deliveries. Also, he is showing his range. The slog sweep, the pull, the dance down and the slog sweep again. Tossed up around off, Sharjeel kneels down and swings it away into the stands. 25 off the over and Karachi are on course now
8.5
6
Shadab Khan to Sharjeel Khan, SIX, hat-trick of sixes. He's doing a Rahul Tewatia here. After struggling the initial phase he is now coming into his own. and Shadab is bearing the brunt of the onslaught. Shimmies down the wicket, gets to the pitch of the ball and smokes it all the way over long-on
8.4
6
Shadab Khan to Sharjeel Khan, SIX, this is bigger. This is better. This is off the middle. Shadab dragged back the length predictably and Sharjeel was waiting on the backfoot, rocks back and nails it over cow corner
8.3
6
Shadab Khan to Sharjeel Khan, SIX, he's kicking on now. Fetched the slog sweep from outside off and though it was not off the meat the ball had enough to clear a leaping long-on fielder
8
4
Mohammad Wasim Jr to Sharjeel Khan, FOUR, back-to-back boundaries for Sharjeel - Wasim dragged his length back, Sharjeel swivels across and pulls it wide of mid-wicket for a boundary
7.5
6
Mohammad Wasim Jr to Sharjeel Khan, SIX, clubbed, way too predictable from Mohammad Wasim Jr, slower ball outside off - Sharjeel can free his arms, spotted the slower ball early and muscled it over long-on for a maximum
7
4
Shadab Khan to Sharjeel Khan, FOUR, cracking shot, another long hop from Shadab, he's struggled for his length tonight, Sharjeel rocks back and pummels the pull over mid-wicket, almost went all the way, bounced right in front of the ropes at mid-wicket
4.2
4
Hasan Ali to Babar Azam, FOUR, classy, overpitched and just outside off, Babar leans into the drive, plays it on the up and finds the gap wide of cover for a boundary

4
Hasan Ali to Babar Azam, FOUR, lovely straight drive from Hasan, leant into the shot, played it on the up and found the gap straight of mid-on, no need to run for those

Hasan Ali to Sharjeel Khan, FOUR, nicely played, too full and too straight from Hasan - Sharjeel brings his bottom hand into play and wristily clips it wide of mid-on for a boundary
